Fun Fun Kids are fun

I remember what I wanted to post about yesterday. I get so wrapped up in the every day hustle that I forget how much fun it is to play with my kids. I have a list so long, every mother does. I have laundry, dishes, the floor, dusting, feeding the kids, my blog, coupons, did i have time to take a shower even. Then my daughter comes up to me and asks me to play. So we play and we have such a good time. Who cares if the house is clean, or if the coupons were organized. Who cares if I actually posted to my blog site? My kids happiness is more important than all of those things. So play with your kids every now and then, it’s sure to bring a smile to everyone in the house.

Can’t believe it

I was thinking about what to blog about all day long. My kids did this and my kids did that. I hate that the laundry, dishes and floor don’t clean themselves. It’s Saturday and my husband is at work. Well, everything ended all right and I have something to BRAG about. I’m sorry, but I have to. My husband got me my very own laptop. For the past six years I have had his hand-me-downs that “don’t work” anymore. Well, the last one I was going to make last as long as possible. It was a great laptop, My daughter even broke it but I was determined to make it last. There was a three inch strip down the middle of the screen. So I had to move the window around sometimes when viewing pages.

He said I have to go get something out of the car and in comes my laptop. It was just so thoughtful of him. Complete shock. Just had to let everyone know. Tomorrow I’ll give some coupon clipping advice. A friend made a request. I can’t deny a good request.

I can’t go a day without posting a picture of something and isn’t he the cutest something!!! I love my kids

Difficult Donations

Why do companies make it so difficult to get donations for non-profit organizations. It’s corporate America. Darn them. I spent the day trying to get donations for my mom’s group and everyone said, “Oh I would love to, BUT” .
You have to go through our corporate office.
We’ve donated all we can give this year.
You’ll have to e-mail my manager.

That last one I didn’t understand. I’ll have to e-mail your manager. I have the form with me right now and you can’t take it and give it to your manager. WHAT?

Even the company that I used to work for gave me the runaround. I was P/O.

I did get two that said yes I’ll see what I can do.
An intimate store at University Village in Seattle (shame on me i can’t even remember the name)

And yes… Oh yes….

Drum roll Please……………….

TULLY’S – you never let me down

The manager at Tully’s, his name is Jordan he makes the best grande intense dark mochas. He also is always cheerful and welcoming. It makes me hate going to Starbucks. Tully’s is soooo much better hands down. Oh and the Tully’s is at Redmond Town Center by the Sensory garden.

Sad Postal day

I was very happy to walk down to the mail box today. My daughter was very excited as well. She was walking and carrying one of her books. She loves to pretend to read. It’s half a mile to the mail box so I wasn’t surprised when she asked me if she could get in the stroller with her brother. We got to the mail box and I was excited by how full it was. Two bills, one was the cable bill and we canceled our cable three weeks ago. My husband took care of that when he got home. We also got two letters from companies you shouldn’t write to and ask for coupons.

Pepsi – no coupons at least not for drinks. They gave me coupons in the past for products that I didn’t even realize were owned by Pepsi.

Glad Trash Bags – They’ll send you a coupon if you have a problem with their product but nothing for consumers.

I did get a sample from Walmart. Walmart has coupons up all the time, they change every month.

Freebie for the day – Walmart Sign up for as many as you want. They all come, sometimes even with a coupon.

I love Tullys

One last blog for the day! I am addicted to coffee. I can’t function without it and my favorite coffee is Tully’s. I love their coffee. I love their customer service. I wrote to them and asked for coupons and they sent me five free drink coupons. I also had an incident in one of their stores and the way the manager took care of me was OUTSTANDING. They went above and beyond to make the incident better. We also drink their coffee at home in a K-cup machine. It tastes so good and it gets me through every day. My kids thank you Tullys for being so good to us. I’m a better mom with my cup of joe. Thank you Tully’s

Surveys as Coupons?

I think of survey taking as collecting coupons. In one case my coupon was a whole box of Sweet and Salty granola bars by Nature Valley. They are very good and addictive. My favorite out of this variety is the Cashew. When I was pregnant with my son I couldn’t get enough of these.

Other times. My coupons are only worth a few cents at a time. I use sendearnings and mypoints as my few cents a day collection. All you have to do is click on your e-mail every day and the points will add up. I think to big time survey takers it’s a waste of time, but to me it’s just too easy to pass up.

And even further you can collect the larger coupons (surveys) for a few dollars here and there. I’m going to cash out at some survey sites in October in hopes to have a little extra money for Christmass. Having kids is so expensive and I’m trying to offset the cost a little by saving money on groceries. I read on a blog somewhere that if you put the money you saved using coupons in a saving account it’s a good way to get ahead. I’m going to start trying that soon. I just have to talk to my husband about it. Has anyone else tried this. Also, I’m interested in anyones advice on how to save some money.

Thanks for the advice!

Tribute to Sun Maid

So for the past two weeks I have gotten coupons from Sun Maid. Today I recieved a recipe book from them. You can sign up for a free recipe book as well, and ask for coupons by contacting them by mail or internet. They will send coupons either way.
